Bronze, stainless steel, 36", 2003-2009, edition of 12

A continuation of the men with sticks theme that has been ongoing for some time. These slightly larger figures will be a kind of collection, with editions of 12 in bronze and resin, that ultimately will create a rhythm of figures and nearly aligned sticks. The figures themselves are based on Ian Johnston’s new translation of the Iliad.

Idomeneus was the leader of the Cretans at Troy. Other characters will include Leitus, Peneleos, Coiranus and Meriones—men who would have stood together in the war.
