Clay, 6 inches, 1999

Alcor and Mizar are an apparent binary star. You can see them in the handle of the Big Dipper as well as the painting "Starry Night Over the Rhone" (1888) by Van Gogh. This was my first sculpture to display the character of celestial bodies in the language of the figure.
