A chaos of flailing limbs. The title describes the work neatly. The concept for this was my gut reaction to life in Calgary, which really is a city in motion, with its cranes, traffic and pedestrians all blurring by. I was inspired by an older work '12 Figures in Motion with a Horse', but unlike that smaller bronze the figures in this work all swirl around in a loose circle (well almost all: one is flung onto a nearby balcony). Scale and literal representation got tossed around a bit in the ten figures and I like the idea of people roiling around and around in life.
